At VITA we try to make International purchasing as easy for you as your domestic purchasing. There are several considerations that must be addressed to ensure seamless transactions. Every company is a little different so we treat each customer’s situation differently based their needs as well as our financial security in the custom manufacturing process.
Private Labeling:
Once a customer provides us with their custom labeling and packaging requirements we will provide samples to ensure that everything we do meets their requirements. Once we have a customer’s approval we typically require a $2,000. deposit to produce all of the necessary custom materials to take care of your private label needs on an ongoing basis. Once we have served 2 container orders for a customer the private labeling deposit is returned. A private label deposit is not required for national brands.

Each company is a little different based on their size, years in business, credit history and other factors. Containers of product can be purchased by anyone with an irrevocable letter of credit, payment in advance of shipment or on credit terms where information can be provided to support a line of credit. New customers may be required to provide a 20% deposit with opening orders until credit can be established.

Freight, Duty & Taxes:
Some companies we manufacturer for have established import systems and pre-negotiated container costs with a container service. This type of customer buys from us with prices calculated based on costs to the export dock and they assume all costs (freight, Duty and Taxes) after that point. Other customers rely on our negotiating power with large volumes of containers to handle the costs door to door, which means your pricing is calculated with the freight, duty and taxes delivered. It will be important for a new customer to communicate the delivery terms they desire so there is no confusion as to the total delivered costs on their end. Freight, Duty and Taxes typically add about 15%-25% to product costs depending on delivery point and the requirements for delivery.
